Charley Mendoza

EAL/ESL Specialist with 6 years of teaching experience. 3 years of those in an IB school in Vietnam.

• Presently working at Hanoi International School (an IB accredited) as an EAL (English as Additional Language) Specialist relied upon 5 to 36 students to look after and assess and 36 to 50+ students throughout the term
• Also, presently working as an ESL teacher in a private language school to look after and assess students
• Possess an ability to communicate complex information in a way which students can easily comprehend by using scaffolded and differentiated activities and instructions
• Prior experience adopting distinctive teaching methodologies, documenting all lessons, organizing healthy group discussions, mentoring troubled students and differentiating ELLs and students with special needs
• Strong advocate for basic foundational skills
• WIDA assessment trained and knowledgeable of the WIDA standards
• More than three years of teaching experience internationally from 2 years old and up

 I am currently completing my PGCE in Teach-Now, a Teacher preparation Certificate Program under Moreland University until April 2022.
