I am a passionate hotelier with over 33 years of hospitality experience in star rated hotels and resorts including international brands with career expands in Asia, South East Asia, Middle East and Australia, I have accumulated extensive knowledge to reach my current position as a leader.     TTC Luxury Resort, Doc Let Beach, Vietnam
    Effective January 2022 to April 2023 leading the pre-opening of a 5-Star Resort with 194 keys, Ballroom with over 800 covers, All Day Dining Restaurant, Beach Club, Spa and Recreational activities
  • General Manager
    Hoi An Memories Resort & Spa, Hoi An, Vietnam
    Lead the pre-opening team, successfully opening the resort to the highest possible standard
     Responsible for creating & implementing operations, standards of procedure, and all aspects of hotel and resort management including planning special promotions and packages
     Due to the third wave of COVID Pandemic company could not continue with my position in good faith with the owners
  • General Manager
    Silk Luxury Hotel & Spa — Hoi An, Vietnam (Currently Silkotel)
     Responsible for operation and maintaining and growing operation standards and revenue through all venues of the hotel
     Performed financial goals of the P&L of the hotel successfully with 21% increase in overall revenue
     Achieved: Increased GOP within first year by 35% compared to 2018.
  • Director of Centralised Shared Services
    Cocobay Da Nang (Accommodation & Entertainment) - Da Nang, Vietnam
     Created & implemented room division, Standard of Operations, Standard Operating Procedures, operation and revenue strategies for pre-opening project in this Accommodation and Entertainment facility as
    the Director of Centralised Shared Services by setting up the supplying/managing the common services such as Housekeeping, Laundry Service, Staff Uniforms, Public Areas Operation and Security
     Achieved: Created & implemented the concept of centralized shared services for all of the Cocobay project venues there by supporting growth and revenue creation for the owners
  • Resident Manager—Hoi An River Town Hotel (Now Ann Retreat Resort & Spa) Hoi An, Vietnam
     Lead the team in this newly opened hotel at the time in implementing Standard Operating Procedures, planning sales & marketing strategies, growing operation standards and revenue through all avenues of the hotel
     However, I had to discontinue my employment with the hotel in January 2017 due to disagreement between owners and management company.
  • General Manager—The Villa Hoi An, Hoi An, Vietnam
     Joined this new hotel and lead the team in planning, implementing Standard Operating Procedures, training and implementing procedures of all aspects of the hotels to generate revenue including Sales & Marketing activities
     Again I had to discontinue my employment with the hotel in April 2017 due to disagreement between two owners decided to close the hotel.
  • Room Division Director—FLC Quy Nhon Beach & Golf Resort, Quy Nhon, Vietnam
     Lead the pre-opening team successfully completed in implementing Standard Operating Procedures for Room Division in this project consist of 327 Studios & Family Suites plus 90 Villas only for the pre-opening
  • Director of Rooms
    VINPEARL Nha Trang Bay Resort & Villas, Nha Trang, VN
     Lead the pre-opening team in this Luxury 5-Star resort project comprising 483 hotel rooms & 173 Villas (Total 1011 Keys) and effectively completed planning and implementing the Room Division Standard Operating Procedures for departments of Front Office, Housekeeping (incl. landscaping) and Recreation (incl. water sports).
     All three departments consisted of approximately 550 personnel VINPEARL Ha Long Bay Resort, Ha Long Bay, Vietnam
     Based on the request made by the Vinpearl corporate office I was transferred to Vinpearl Ha Long Bay Resort (5-star luxury resort) effective December 2015 to complete Rooms Division’s the balance
    room inventory that comprised of balance 3 floors with 120 rooms
     After completion the three floors lead the Room Division team in achieving financial goals and maintaining standards of all aspects of resort
     Appointed to take the responsibilities of Acting General Manager from January 2016 for three months
     PMS system used is OPERA 
  • Manager Room Division
    Best Western Premier Indochine Palace, Hue City, Vietnam (Currently Indochine Palace)
     Lead the team that comprise of Front Office, Housekeeping, Recreation & Spa departments under the Rooms Division of this luxurious 5-star hotel
     Successful in increasing revenues of minor operating dept. under Front Office by 24%, Housekeeping (Laundry & Mini-Bar) by 21% and Recreation & Spa revenue by 7% during 2013-2014
     Brought up the ranking of TripAdvisor to 4th position in the Hue City 
     To ensure and monitor highest level of service standards designed a “Guest Services Tracking System” covering all operational departments of the whole hotel
     Maintained Best Western International Brand standards to achieve highest ratings
  • General Manager
    Ancient Angkor Hotel, Siem Reap, Kingdom of Cambodia (Privately owned 3-star hotel)
     A new hotel and planned aspects of Sales & Marketing strategies including segmenting
     Implemented a guest service tracking system to maintain best service standards
     Created SOP’s and trained the HOD’s & Teams
     Worked together with the owners in preparing of budgets
