With a background in commercial banking and renewable energy, I have accumulated close to 9 years of experience working within financial institutions, and most of them are international financial institutions.

Although I have been based in Vietnam since graduating from university in 2016 until now, I am currently not located in Singapore. I understand that this may pose a challenge, but I sincerely hope to be considered about the opportunity to have a chance to go to Singapore.

Company: Vietnam Singapore Smart Energy Solutions (VSSES)

This is a joint venture company between Sembcorp Urban (Singapore) and Becamex IDC (Vietnam) aimed at developing solar renewable energy and Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) for the Vietnamese market.

Market focus: Vietnamese market.

Main responsibilities:

Deal Evaluation & Execution: Identify, evaluate, and implement investment opportunities in both greenfield and brownfield (M&A) rooftop solar/solar farm/BESS projects, collaborating with cross-functional teams.
Due Diligence Coordination: Oversee due diligence processes with internal/external advisors on financial, tax, legal, and technical aspects.
Financial Modeling & Valuation: Develop and review financial models for valuation, debt sizing, and scenario analyses, ensuring data-driven investment decisions.
Credit Assessment: Assess the creditworthiness of customers/sellers to evaluate potential risks and uncertainties associated with investment projects.
Investment Recommendations: Present and recommend investment opportunities to senior management and deliver presentations to the board.
Financial Reporting: Prepare annually/quarterly business forecast, and compare between budget against actual.
Fundraising Capital: Collaborate with local/international financial institutions on onshore/offshore/syndication loans to structure the capital structure of investment projects and overall company operation to align with stakeholder requirements.
Renewable Certificate Engagement: Collaborate with the brokers to issue and sell REC based on market fundamental and technical indicators.
Team Leadership: Mentor and supervise staffs, fostering skill development and knowledge sharing.
