    Ontario Government Client is actively seeking a QA Specialist. As a QA Specialist, where is your expertise in ensuring the quality and reliability of critical systems and applications. With over 10 years of experience, you will lead testing efforts, mentor junior testers, and implement best practices. Your expertise in manual and automated testing, public sector experience, and adherence to accessibility standards will drive our projects to success.

    Note: The candidate is present on-site for three days each week.

    Must Haves:

  • Lead Testing Experience: Over 5 years of leading Systems Testing/QA efforts, including providing guidance to junior testers and overseeing testing processes.
  • API Testing Skills: Proficiency in utilizing API testing tools for querying and testing interfaces at the messaging layer.
  • Web Service Expertise: Extensive experience in conducting web service queries using tools like Rational ClearQuest, SOAP-UI, and POSTMAN or via Programming Languages.

    Criteria:

  • Public Sector Experience:
  • Over 3 years of involvement with federal/provincial/broader public-sector healthcare providers.
  • Familiarity with Public Sector Enterprise Architecture artifacts, PMI standards, and I&IT project management methodologies.
  • QA and Systems Testing Knowledge and Experience:
  • More than 5 years of hands-on experience in all stages of system testing, including test planning, execution, and defect tracking.
  • Proficiency in testing a variety of systems, including clinical systems, mission-critical systems, and high-volume transactional systems.
  • Logging, Tracking, and Defect Reporting:
  • Extensive experience in identifying, documenting, and maintaining defect logs and summary reports.
  • Active participation in QA and cross-functional team meetings, prioritizing test execution, and contributing to problem-solving sessions
  • General Skills:
  • Proven technical leadership, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills.
  • Detail-oriented team player with excellent organization and multitasking abilities.
