    Ontario Government Client is actively seeking a Privacy Impact Assessment (PIA) Specialist. As a Privacy Impact Assessment (PIA) Specialist, where is in safeguarding personal information and ensuring compliance with legislative requirements. With over a decade of experience in operational risk assessments and policy analysis, you'll play a crucial role in evaluating technology impacts, guiding strategic policy planning, and fostering strong relationships with stakeholders. Bring your expertise to shape privacy initiatives in the public sector's dynamic landscape.

    Note: The candidate is present on-site for three days each week.

    Must Haves:

    Technical Knowledge:

  • Practical understanding of information technology concepts impacting personal information protection.
  • Experience leading operational risk assessments and privacy impact assessments.
  • Competency in analyzing policy proposals and applying relevant legislation to ensure compliance. Criteria:
  • Technical Knowledge:
  • Over 10 years of expertise in privacy impact assessment methodologies and threat analysis principles.
  • Practical knowledge of information technology processes affecting personal information protection.
  • Proficiency in managing privacy risks in health information collection and leading risk assessments.
  • Core Skills and Experience:
  • Over 10 years of experience resolving complex issues and analyzing policy implications.
  • Competency in acquiring and applying legislation to ensure compliance with proposed initiatives.
  • Ability to identify emerging privacy issues and evaluate their impact on policy directions.
  • Public Sector/Healthcare Experience:
  • 5+ years working with public-sector healthcare providers, familiarity with privacy guidelines.
  • Knowledge of Public Sector Enterprise Architecture and project management methodologies.
  • Experience with large, complex IT health-related projects and adherence to IT standards.
  • General Skills:
  • Strong leadership, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Proven ability in troubleshooting, critical thinking, and consulting.
