Brighton College Vietnam, part of the world-renowned Brighton College family of schools, is seeking an exceptional and dynamic Key Stage One Teacher to join our expanding Prep School. As our Prep School grows, you will play a key role in establishing and shaping the culture, curriculum, and learning environment within this Key Stage One class. Key Responsibilities
Teaching and Learning

• Deliver outstanding teaching and learning in a Key Stage One class, ensuring all pupils are inspired, challenged, and supported.
• Create a happy, safe, and stimulating classroom environment where every child can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.
• Develop a classroom environment, and contribute to the corridor environment, to enable playful pedagogy for our curious children.
• Plan creatively across the curriculum, with a focus on enquiry, critical thinking, and progression.
• Cater for a wide range of needs, including EAL and inclusion requirements, ensuring all pupils make excellent progress.
• Model exemplary classroom practice and contribute to the development of high teaching standards in Key Stage One.

Curriculum and Assessment

• Contribute to the design, development, and implementation of a world-class Prep curriculum, aligned with Brighton College standards and British best practice.
• Develop and use assessment and tracking systems to ensure clear, consistent, and meaningful monitoring of pupil progress.
• Ensure pupils are well-prepared for smooth transition into the next stage of schooling.

Collaboration and Leadership

• Work closely with the Key Stage One Leader, Subject Leaders and Primary Leadership Team to ensure alignment with whole-school goals.
• Actively participate in staff development, sharing expertise and supporting the professional growth of peers.
• Contribute to the creation of a collaborative, forward-thinking, and joyful Prep School culture.

Community and Parental Engagement

• Build strong, positive relationships with parents, engaging them fully in their child's learning journey.
• Support the growth of the Prep School by contributing to open days, tours, and promotional activities.
• Actively engage with the wider community to enrich pupils' learning and school life.

Operational Responsibilities

• Ensure the classroom environment reflects world-class standards in organisation, safety, and aesthetics.
• Plan and lead educational visits, enrichment opportunities, and co-curricular activities.
• Contribute to the smooth running of the Prep School through participation in duties, events, and wider school life.

Desirable Qualities

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
• A proven record of outstanding primary teaching in EYFS or KS1
• A deep understanding of the British curriculum and a passion for Prep and Early Years education.
• Vision, creativity, and adaptability to help shape a young and expanding school.
• Resilience, positivity, and a sense of humour in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with cultural sensitivity and respect.
• A collaborative, can-do attitude, with a genuine enthusiasm for inspiring young learners.
