    Trading Operations Analyst (Domestic)

    The role of the Operations Analyst requires attention to details, understanding of basic domestic operations and activities for Food Ingredients and Agri-Products. Previous experience within other areas of logistics would be an advantage, but being able to demonstrate good communication skills, being able to work within a team and an ability to work efficiently in a flexible manner is key. Tasks & Responsibilities:
    • Carry out post trade contract activities and day-to-day execution of physical contracts concluded by the regional and local trading team. This involves planning shipments to payment collection.
    • Creating shipment delivery in our in-house system, Suite
    • Instructing / appointing surveyors at loading and discharging port(s).
    • Create sale invoice and upload all shipping documents in Suite.
    • Managing the payment of suppliers, freight invoices and any other costs.
    • Ensure all information like documentary instructions, LOIs or LCs (if required) are in place before loading/discharging.
    • Preparation & maintenance of shipment documents in in-house system Suite and any hard copies if required.
    • Arrange local or overseas courier to send out original documents.
    • Handle customer's requests relating to QA documentation
    • Follow up on customers' claims and other shipment related disputes working closely with traders for a resolution
    • Planning and coordinating for local deliveries with supplier/buyer and truck provider.
    • Keep record of warehouse receipts and Delivery Notes, if applicable
    • Monitor stock forecasts received from Client to actual volumes delivered per week/ per month
    • Working closely with local and regional finance and trade finance departments to ensure smooth execution of goods as well as making and receiving payments for local deliveries
    • Join weekly execution calls with Singapore and/or Regional teams.
    • Changes in the business may occasionally require alterations in this job description and these will be agreed with the post holder as appropriate.
    About you:We are looking for someone with the following skillset and attributes: Essential:
    • Can speak fluent English with relevant field of study would be strongly considered
    • Diploma / Degree / Professional Certificates in Logistics / Supply Chain Management / Business / Maritime / related disciplines
    • Established in negotiating documents basis CAD, Bank Documentary Collection, and Documentary Letters of Credit.
    • Fast learner and able to work under pressure and deadlines
    • Ability to act with integrity when dealing with confidential matters
    • Team player with strong work ethics, communication & organisational skills
    • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point
    • Domestic distribution/operations knowledge.
    Desirable:
    • Experience in RSA / SAOL / Sugar No. 11 rules and regulation and Incoterms.
    • Experience in Letter of Credits negotiation and UCP, ISBP rules.
    • Candidates with knowledge of local customs clearance will be a bonus.
