    We are seeking a highly strategic and motivated General Manager to establish and grow our business in the region. This role will provide invaluable management and business experience in the e-commerce industry. You will be responsible for strategic planning, setting up operations, managing daily business activities, budget control, generating progress reports, and employee management.

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    Strategic Planning and Setting Up Operations:

    • Conduct situational analysis and geographical targeting exercises to aid decision-making.
    • Set up infrastructure and complete preliminary work before operations commence, including liaising with external partners for products, logistics, call centers, legal matters, recruitment, and market research.
    • Daily Business Management and Budget Control:
    • Drive sales/revenue growth, profitability, and quality targets.
    • Develop, implement, and monitor operational plans within budgets to achieve KPIs and business results.
    • Create initiatives for continuous improvement across all KPIs.
    • Build rapport with partners and agents to ensure smooth business operations.

    Reporting:

    • Produce business performance reports, regulatory compliance reports, and other necessary reports to ensure market share growth and sustainable market growth.

    Employee Management:

    • Manage local team expectations and communicate the needs, priorities, KPIs, and strategies to achieve business goals.
    • Participate in staff selection, training, development, scheduling, and ongoing professional development.
    • Plan capacity and build capability of country teams to achieve KPI targets.
    • Provide effective leadership and get things done.


    KEY REQUIREMENTS:

    • Bachelor's or Master's degree in any discipline
    • 6+ years of team management experience, P&L calculation, and monitoring
    • Experience in leading and managing an organization (departments, divisions, ops, back office, HR, finance, sales)
    • Experience in product sourcing, logistics, e-commerce, or setting up operations is a plus
    • Specialized knowledge/skills in sales, including sales planning, market penetration strategy, and manpower development
    • Strong problem-solving, organizational, communication, negotiation, and analytical skills
    • Logical and strategic mindset, along with excellent presentation skills and a customer-centric approach
    • Strong leadership and communication skills in both local and English languages, able to communicate effectively across countries and regions
    • Motivated self-starter who can work with minimal supervision and assemble and manage teams
    • Versatile personality and experience working in dynamic business conditions
