    BASF has been active in Vietnam since the establishment of its representative office in 1994 and celebrates its 30-year presence in the country this year. BASF Vietnam Limited was set up in 2009. The company maintains two sales offices in Hồ Chí Minh City and Hà Nội, offering solutions for Vietnam's key industries, including Agriculture, Construction, Automotive, Footwear, Paints & Coatings and Electrical & Electronics. BASF's sales to customers in Vietnam were approximately €238 million in 2023. BASF employed 110 people in Vietnam as of the end of the year.

    OBJECTIVES OF THE POSITION

    • Lead the business development for the "Toys" market segment globally.

    • Oversee a global team with interdisciplinary responsibilities, focusing on development, project management, and sales

    MAIN AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITIES AND KEY ACTIVITIES

    • Include the continuation of existing business with toy brands and their production partners; transition their productions to our sustainable coating system.

    • Establish close and trusting business relationships at all levels, from management to product users.

    • Establish new contacts with relevant market participants, initiate joint projects, and explore business opportunities.

    • Develop further offerings for the toy industry in areas such as automation, digitization, and sustainability, in addition to the conversion of solvent-based to water-based solutions, including their application processes.

    • Define business model, pricing and distribution channel. Manage resources (budget, equipment, people) to ensure the stability of business operation.

    • Develop concepts for the future organization and supply chain required for global business development and implement them independently.

    JOB REQUIREMENTS

    • Minimum Bachelor degree in business administration, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry or relevant

    • Minimum 8 years experiences in sales or business development

    • Experiences in project management is a plus

    • At least 2-years' leadership experience

    • Network in the toys industry is advantage

    • Strong communication and negotiation skills. Understanding of business development requirements.

    • Strong conceptual abilities and the ability to drive implementation.

    • High proficiency in English and Mandarin are required.

    • Ability to travel regularly
