Job summary:

Our client is a leader in children's accessories and travel gear market (except apparel)

Responsibilities:

Working with the Production Planning group, determine capacities for company products at each factory
Work with Quality Control/Regulatory Manager to implement sustainability criteria and programs with suppliers. Ensure and monitor company compliance with contractual obligations, sourcing policies, and preferred supplier arrangements.
Develop and execute overall global Sourcing and Product Development strategy to ensure optimal allocation among vendors that supports seasonal product needs.
Research, review and qualify all potential new suppliers. Lead all price and contract negotiations with suppliers to ensure category meets financial performance targets. Work to ensure best possible pricing.
Monitor all factories subcontracting practices to meet company's policy.
Work with Quality Control/Regulatory Manager to implement sustainability criteria and programs with suppliers. Ensure and monitor company compliance with contractual obligations, sourcing policies, and preferred supplier arrangements
During seasonal production cycles, confirm factories are on time as directed by the Production Planning Group.
Assist with the onboarding and training of all new factories.
Assist in the execution of overall global sourcing strategy to ensure optimal allocation among vendors that supports product needs.
Responsible for researching, sourcing and qualifying new factories and relationships base on company's strategic direction and needs.
Participate in price and contract negotiations with suppliers as needed to ensure category meets financial performance targets. Work to ensure best possible pricing.
Clearly communicate the vision and strategies to all cross functional partners; direct and monitor the successful implementation of strategies. Keep factory capacity at the forefront of conversations and planning.
Regularly measure vendor performance including compliance, delivery, price, quality and service.
Collaborate with the Product Development team. Assist as needed in the development process to meet established timelines and margin goals.
Assure close working relationship with vendors.

Experience requirements:

Thorough understanding of the product manufacturing process for baby socks, shoes and cut and sew products
Fluent in English communication & written skills.
Strong Product and manufacturing quality background.
Knowledge of vendor/mill operations, product construction, and fabric/materials.
Must possess strong leadership, negotiation, and technical skills.
Experience developing and leveraging strategic business relationships with vendors/suppliers.
Needs to be resourceful, highly organized, and able to multitask easily.
Ability to adapt quickly and make an impact in a rapid paced organization.
Ability to travel ~50% in Asia and other sourcing regions as required.
