About the Team

The Monetization Strategy organization provides business critical insights using analytics, ensures cross functional alignment of goals and execution, and helps teams drive strategic partnerships and new initiatives forward.

We stay focused on aligning the highest-level company priorities with effective day-to-day operations, and help evolve early stage ideas into future-growth initiatives.

Our team uses data analysis to help drive the company's monetization strategy and operations.

We're looking for a Strategy & Operations Associate to drive analytics initiatives that guide operational excellence for our APAC business.

You will have a ground floor opportunity to shape TikTok's growth and monetization efforts in the APAC region. We are looking for entrepreneurial spirits to join our monetization strategy team. You will have a ground floor opportunity to shape monetization efforts in Southeast Asia. In this role, you will partner with cross-functional leaders to assess performance and plan for the future.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Act as the key strategic partner to our monetization team focusing on various advertiser segments
  • Develop monetization strategy for TikTok and other growing products in Southeast Asia countries by partnering with key stakeholders across predominantly sales/commercial functions
  • Drive stepchange impacts revenue growth through developing and driving key initiatives (e.g., operating model changes)
  • Conduct Deep dive analysis that helps the business better understand key value drivers and growth opportunities
  • Partner closely with TikTok leadership to drive highimpact projects
  • Own performance analysis, reporting and drive business review cadences
  • Set and manage performance goals for the monetization team by defining key performance metrics and set KPIs to drive business growth.
  • Measure and track business financial performance, ensure financial healthiness of business operations.
  • Develop and optimize monetization processes and policies as the team scales
  • Assist in the development and planning of monetization strategy through analysis and research, and evolve insights into growth initiatives
  • Work closely with crossfunctional partners, including local monetization teams, sales & sales operations, international strategy and data teams to drive analytical initiatives to completion
  • Manage key initiatives on a project basis, collaborate closely with crossfunctional teams in Southeast Asia and other international markets

Qualifications:


  • BS/MS degree in math, statistics, data science, business analytics/management, engineering, computer science or other quantitative majors
  • 3+ years of sales strategy, growth strategy, sales finance, product strategy, consulting, investment banking or related analytical experience. Highgrowth tech startup experience and advertising experience preferred
  • Solid analytical aptitude with strong exposure or interest in strategy
  • Skilled project manager. Team player with the ability to manage expectations across timezones and cultures
  • Knowledge of SQL programming and of statistical modeling is a plus
  • Expertise in BI visualization tools such as Tableau, Looker is a plus
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills, comfortable dealing with ambiguity and ability to structure complex issues to drive insights
  • Initiate and drive complex analysis to completion with mínimal guidance and then synthesize and communicate insights
  • Work hard and efficiently in a fastpaced, crosscultural environment.
