The British Vietnamese International School (BVIS) produces a high-quality international education standard with a rapidly growing reputation. Fully integrated within the curriculum is the deliberate nurturing and safeguarding of Vietnamese language, culture and heritage. This new type of school is the first in Vietnam to offer this unique and special model.

About the role
We are looking for a primary teacher who will thrive working closely with British, Vietnamese and international colleagues.

Our pupils are predominantly Vietnamese, with 14% Koreans.

Your teaching will develop students intellectually and emotionally, increasing their proficiency in English through an engaging curriculum based on the English National Curriculum and the International Primary Curriculum.

It is therefore essential that our teachers have a good understanding of English language learning.

About you
PGCE/ QTS and a minimum of three years' recent experience of teaching is essential. You will shine in the primary classroom.

You will have experience teaching EAL or MFL, a passion for teaching and a strong desire for working in an outstanding bilingual learning environment.

Overseas teaching experience is also desirable, as is knowledge of the English National Curriculum, or similar.

We will expect you to promote high expectations for our students, design learning activities that are aligned to our school's curriculum and encourage a learning culture where there are no limits to what can be achieved.

You will foster an environment of respect, facilitating learning in a language rich setting.
