About the Role
The Learning & Development (L&D) Specialist is responsible for designing and implementing training and development programs that are aligned with SOA's strategy and business goals and fostering a learning culture within the organization.
The role of the L&D Specialist is crucial in enhancing the knowledge, skills, and performance of employees, ultimately contributing to the overall success of the company.
The L&D Specialist is in charge of assessing training needs, designing and implementing learning strategies, delivering training programs, and evaluating their effectiveness.
He or she will closely collaborate with various stakeholders, such as HR Manager and BUDs, to identify and address training gaps.
Responsibilities:
Assessing training and development needs:
- Conducting assessments and identifying training gaps to ensure that learning initiatives align with the Company's strategic goals and address skill deficiencies.
Developing training programs:
- Designing and creating training modules, courses, and materials based on identified needs and objectives.
- Delivering training sessions:
- Conducting workshops, seminars, and other training sessions to transfer knowledge and enhance skills of employees.
Managing training budgets:
- Creating and allocating budgets for training initiatives, ensuring costeffective delivery of programs.
- Coordinating training logistics:
- Organizing training venues, equipment, and necessary resources to facilitate smooth training delivery.
Evaluating training effectiveness:
- Assessing the impact and effectiveness of training programs through evaluations and feedback mechanisms.
- Collaborating with stakeholders:
- Working closely with HRM, BUD, and other SOA's leaders to address specific training needs and ensure alignment with organizational goals.
Researching industry best practices:
- Staying updated with the latest advancements and trends in training and development to enhance program effectiveness.
Managing relationships with external vendors:
- Collaborating with external training providers to deliver specialized programs.
- Implementing technologybased learning solutions:
- Introducing and utilizing elearning platforms, learning management systems, and other digital tools to support and enhance training initiatives.
Job Requirements
EDUCATION, KNOWLEDEGE AND EXPERIENCE
- University degree related to Human Resources, Organizational Development, Psychology, or Business Administration
- Experience: minimum 3 years experience in training and development or related roles in talent development
- Solid understanding of Vietnamese labor legislation, HR Knowledge, and best practices
SKILLS:
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Excellent active listening, negotiation, and presentation skills
- Strong analytical and problemsolving skills
- Strategic thinking abilities to identify opportunities, anticipate future needs and develop longterm L&D plans
- Technology Proficiency, comfortable using various technology tools and platforms such as learning management systems, elearning software, and multimedia tools
- Have good writing & reporting skills
- Excellent written and verbal English
- Ability to motivate and develop team members, and the capacity to effectively manage resources and budgets
