RESPONSIBILITIES:

Own the data lifecycle (from ingest and automated quality checks, to discovery and usage, and database setup)
Build custom integrations between cloudbased or blockchainbased systems using APIs and other data sources.
Design efficient data structures, database schemas, and ETL for longterm sustainability
Ship highquality, welltested, secure, and maintainable code.
Work closely with all other parts of the Engineering team and beyond to ensure all needs are catered for with our data platform.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Advanced SQL knowledge, with an understanding of writing performant queries.
Strong understanding of Python: conditional statements, looping constructs, data structures, custom functions (including lambda, async await, map, filter,..).
Handon experiences at the pandas library in python.
An understanding of data warehouse structure.
Extensive experience in data modeling at a project level, and how to run in an automated manner.
Familiarity with shell scripting languages (eg bash)
Used to writing code to high software development standards.
You are a champion of data quality and testing.

Preferred Qualifications

Cloud experience (ideally GCP but transferable skills from other cloud providers is also acceptable).
Experience with streaming technologies, eg Kafka
Experience with DBT, AirflowAirflow
