YOUR ROLE


The primary duty of the Learning & Developer Specialist is to create a flexible, fit for purpose, sustainable training approach that will enable new users of the SAMS solution in VN to deliver to their role expectations in their teams.

This approach will need to take into consideration ongoing BAU demands on the teams that are to be upskilled.

This also includes identifying the best learning levers to pull (face-to-face, digital, simulations, assessment, procedures, class-based etc) that will enable adoption of the new solution so as not to adversely affect the BAU core services for students.

Appointees are accountable for completing training on these matters and ensuring their knowledge.


KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Working to the Change Lead and Training Manager, this role is accountable for supporting the design, development, and delivery of the training outcomes for the SAMS Up program.
  • Maintain the training needs analysis for the endtoend solution (including satellite systems) for all VN and AU directly and indirectly affected staff and students.
  • Maintain all work procedures (approx. 450) and all procedures from satellite systems required for the SAMS training.
  • Maintain and update simulations, elearning, and video demos for ongoing training (for SAMS and all satellite systems required
  • Maintain and support review, sign off, approval, deployment, tracking and measurement of updated training solutions including assessing end user understanding of solution.
  • Collaborate with the program change team, functional, technical and stakeholder teams to identify and service the learning requirements for all (directly and indirectly affected) users of SAMS systems in VN.
  • Coordinate and deliver (with training manager) digital and facetoface training sessions not just on the solution, but on the individual's role in delivering to the responsibilities using the solution (including if any changes to procedures, policies, regulatory, legislative, legal or HR requirements)
  • Work with technical team to confirm delivery of training environment with satellite systems if necessary.
  • Support the training manager in the requirement for training environment needs.
  • Support the training manager and program tech manager in identifying, planning and delivering BAU technical training (as part of program hand over) and BAU technical support model.
  • Work collaboratively with training manager, program leads, program SMEs, business and functional analysts and training design team to select, analyse, review, and approve and deliver suitable training material via varied training channels (facetoface, selfpaced, classroom, teambased learning)
  • Set up a training and SME coaching/mentoring and support model for first 2 weeks, 1 month, 2 month and 3 months post go live.
  • Support Training Manager in Responsibility for working with program comms manager, to document all the training related comms and working program communications manager to deliver via relevant channels and liaising with the program comms manager to ensure the comms is aligned to the program messages.
  • If required, support training manager to design, build and deliver suitable train the trainer approach including training plan for delivery
  • Support the Training manager to manage endtoend training delivery schedule (pre and post deployment) including recording workshops as required and creating a BAU/SharePoint learning library to hand over to BAU team to maintain ongoing.

KEY SELECTION CRITERIA

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in planning, designing, building and delivering end to end training solutions for new systems, business processes across multiple business teams and locations using a modularised learning approach that includes blended learning solutions and 70/20/10 learning model.
  • Creative, open, practical, flexible, 'test & learn' mindset that can identify suitable solutions within tight timeframes and budgets.
  • Understanding of the adult learning landscape, approaches, technical requirements and caters for varied options and preferences.
  • Experience setting up training environments, coordinating access, identifying relevant scenarios and assessment questions by role to ensure training is not only understood but applied to daily tasks to maintain and improve BAU SLAs.
