Position Description:
- As primary contact person from Vichem to customers within the defined market area served by Vichem's products.
- The position is responsible for the development of sustainable and profitable new business and protection of running business, promoting Vichem products at existing and potential customers, cocoordinating supervisor, accounting, warehouse & assistant function.
- The position is responsible to provide high level sales support for Vichem's customers.
- To represent externally the interests of Vichem in the defined market. This representation can be achieved in many ways.
By:
- Visiting customers and potential customers, presenting Vichem products (and Vichem in general), striving develop business either through commercial means or through proposal of development projects.
- Building a network of contacts across a number of functions: purchasing, technical, logistics in order to create and maintain customer loyalty to Vichem.
- Attending trade fairs and seminars.
- To negotiate, within the framework of agreed limits, prices, contracts and supply agreements, payment terms and ensures correct behavior from the customer regarding settlement.
- To handle promptly commercial enquiries from the customer, including complaints, and to be accountable for their completion even when other stakeholders are involved.
- To manage information flow to customer accurately and timely about product or packaging changes, cancellations, supply shortages, logistics problems etc.
- To write after each visit a concise visit report with relevant circulation clear actions.
These reports should also include:
- Accurate information regarding customer, market, competitor actions.
- Forecast information and any other information regarding the customer as may be requested on an ad hoc basis.
- Undertake all activities required to efficiently extending, developing and penetrating the market.
- Make a business plan for the Business (Products/Budget/Services,...)
- Responsible for Managing and implementing business activities to ensure assigned targets
- Manage and expand customer network
- Provide services and products to customers, take care of customers, and enhance customer experience to achieve assigned goals.
- Sales team management and development
- Establish a team of technical sales
- Coaching and training the sales team to ensure staff quality according to company standards;
- Coordinate with relevant departments in promoting and retaining talents.
- Advise the Board of Directors on products, policies, and business strategies.
- Perform other tasks as assigned by the Board of Directors.
Position Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Chemical Engineering or Economics.
- Experience in coating, têxtile, titan,
- Proficient in English, knowledge of Chinese is a plus.
- More than 45 years of experience in chemical sales in the paint and ink industry, proven track record in new business development and dealing with customers in a commercial role within the targeted market segments.
- Experiences in multinational or trading companies in a similar role.
- Sales team management experience
- Knowledge of competitive raw materials and/or technologies is desirable.
- Good negotiation skills, leadership skills, problem solving skills, conflict management
- Proactivity, independence, strong teamwork spirit, and the ability to work in a professional and challenging environment.
- Willingness to business travel.
- Proficient in MS Office (MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, etc.).
