Position Objective:

  • Effectively run Regulatory Compliance Program to ensure that all regulatory compliance risks are properly identified, assessed, mitigated & reported.
  • Successfully building and control the compliance program on data privacy to ensure data privacy risk is efficiently and effectively assessed, mitigated and controlled.
  • Successfully promote the compliance culture in the team and the Company.

Roles and Responsibilities:
Regulatory Compliance assurance (50%)

  • Plan and conduct regulatory compliance review to identify control gaps and deficiencies, provide feasible recommendations and followup on implementation.
  • Conduct regulatory compliance monitoring activities, risk assessment and provide quarterly regulatory compliance dashboard.
  • Keep abreast of regulatory changes, new regulations and internal procedures changes to identify new regulatory compliance risk.
  • Conduct regulatory compliance training/ workshops.
  • Develop compliance solutions/ tools to support 1st line departments in understanding and implementation of regulatory obligations.
  • Coordinate with departments for regulatory audits, track and followup with implementation of regulator's audit recommendations.
  • Build data analytics report and implement quality assurance controls for the New Law on Insurance Business and its guidance.
  • Coordinate documents required for any inspection or themed reviews conducted by the Ministry of Finance for the new Law on Insurance Business, if any.
Data Privacy (15%)

  • Be a privacy expert to and advise department in designing privacyrespecting processes, and solutions
  • Partner with IT Security and other departments to review third party, new products, form to collect PII, campaign and processes for privacy purpose
  • Assess privacy incident and collaborate with other department to respond to incident concisely and in timely manner
  • Perform holistic review of data privacy by using data analytics and automated person impact assessment tools.
FATCA, Record Retention (5%)

  • Responsible for overseeing the implementation of the AIA Group FATCA manual, Record retention management.
  • Conduct quality assurance and regular reviews for FATCA matters
  • Monitor the implementation of the record retention schedule.
Business Advice and Regulatory Incident Management (30%)

  • Review documents for new products for compliance signoff.
  • Proactive analyse data, provide collaborative challenge and recommend compliance solutions for regulatory compliance matters/ department procedures.
  • Play compliance role in incident management including analysing impacts, rootcauses and propose relevant actions.
  • Report incidents as reporting protocol.
  • Review social media communication.
  • Joining projects to support the implementation of the insurance regulations in financial crime and product development.
  • Participate in in different projects as a regulatory advisor, including for process/system enhancements/ new products for implementation of the new law.
  • Take the role of expert in the postimplementation process as well as build the knowledge of mass employees to understand the new Law and its guidance by digital platforms.
Reporting (5%)

  • Responsible for the effective communication of regulatory compliance matters including timely and accurate reporting and/or escalation of such matters in accordance with relevant reporting and escalation protocols.

Minimum Job Requirements:

  • Education: A bachelor's degree (preferred legal background).
  • Experience: At least 10 years of experience in legal and compliance, audit, internal control, operational risk.
  • Language skills (verbal & written): Fluent English is preferred.
  • Effective interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Good analytical and problemsolving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and ownership mindset in work.
  • Able to work under pressure.
