The Research and Innovation Portfolio supports researchers and graduate researchers with research partnerships, grants and research contracts, funding opportunities, capability development, research training, ethics and integrity, intellectual property, commercialisation, internships, communication and profile.


YOUR ROLE
As a Senior Coordinator, Research Awards and Services, you are responsible for assisting researchers during the pre
- and post-award process for external research funding (including the provision of institutional documentation and approvals and the monitoring of the review of research contracts across departments); the collection of research proposals, outputs, information, and data in the Research Master database (including quarterly, annual, and ad hoc reporting to leadership); the administration of Internal Research Grants (including pre
- and post-award administration); assisting with the organisation of research events and seminars; and other general administrative tasks related to research at RMIT Vietnam.


This includes working with researchers, School Deans, and units across RMIT Europe, Vietnam and Australia to ensure that timely support and advice is provided in relation to a range of complex research matters.

This role will liaise with the relevant Research & Innovation teams, RMIT Europe, and departments across RMIT Vietnam to ensure fit for purpose documentation and advice related to the above is made available to support research activity in RMIT Vietnam.

OUR REQUIREMENTS- Bachelor degree or above and significant relevant experience in a similar position. Knowledge of research services, and/or the administration of external research funding preferred- Highly developed interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to confidently handle a range of situations with people from a diverse range of academic and business backgrounds.- Experience in the interpretation of complex guidelines as well as identifying key information required for data entry and a high level of attention to detail.- Demonstrated ability to work effectively and efficiently within a team as well as autonomously under broad direction.- Excellent organisational and time management skills, with proven ability to manage multiple tasks and the flexibility to re-adjust workload priorities to meet competing deadlines.- Proven analytical and problem-solving skills and the ability to contribute to continuous improvement projects.- Demonstrated high level of proficiency in the use of MS Office suite; internet and information management systems.

Experience in working with Research Master or other similar databases is preferred.- Well-developed skills in managing a secretariat; including the development of documents including Minutes, Agendas, Reports etc.

- Ability to display appropriate behaviours in line with the position, as per the RMIT Values

English proficiency requirements

  • If English is not your native language then you will be required to demonstrate a minimum English language proficiency standard at an upper intermediate level (Linguaskill (Business) 160 or equivalent. RMIT Vietnam will organise a Linguaskill test for you to assess your level of English before proceeding with an offer.
