Overview

  • This role is responsible for all centralized LD&T and general admin procurement activities to provide services/products timely with efficient cost for Vietnam.
  • This role is responsible for leading the sourcing activities, including spend analysis, sourcing, supply development, identifying productivity opportunities and performance monitoring, control and reporting for all LD&T and general admin spend within Vietnam.
  • The role is responsible for identifying and developing crossfunctional teams to deliver reduction strategies, as well as managing relationships with senior stakeholders, crossfunctions as well as suppliers.
  • This role will also actively engage with regional team to leverage from global vendor harmonization, sourcing strategy and coordinate with related functions for effective planning, sourcing, and supplier performance management.

Responsibilities

1.Deliver growth

  • Work closely with APAC Category Leads to define and implement sourcing strategy for Logistics, Distribution, Transportation (LD&T) and general admin (SG&A) to ensure cost, improvements, service/product quality and speed to the market.
  • Drive 5% of compressible spend yearonyear reductions in conversion, freight, and value engineering. Reduce costs year on year net of inflation and quality investments.
  • Monitor, perform supply risk assessment to identify alternative supply sources and implement BCP plan to assure supply continuity to support business growth.

2.Create Efficiency

  • Optimize service/product specifications through understanding the levers that drive cost in the supply chain by taking a holistic view both upstream at Suppliers' plants, and downstream in PepsiCo's distribution supply chain.
  • Coordinate and support crossfunctional teams to drive cost reduction initiatives and execution.
  • Effectively communicate and work with Procurement COE and relevant stakeholders to drive and implement sourcing and productivity strategy.
  • Leverage supplier and market insights, as well as networking with peers in PepsiCo and lift & shifting of productivity ideas from Global/ Sector/Region.
  • Maximize the performance of suppliers to ensure they deliver sustainable productivity and competitive advantage through the execution of their contractual obligations. Develop and implement structured supplier performance reviews and key performance indicators for categories managed. Manage compliance to the contract terms and obligations through periodic performance reviews with local MU procurement, and relevant stakeholders.

3.Drive Future Success

  • Transform LD&T and SG&A category in Vietnam through strategy ownership, and supplier development and work with COE to unlock the next generation of technology investments by the suppliers in the markets and build a cohesive regional supply base
  • Advise management, stakeholders, and team members on areas of possible improvement, and offering suggestions and guidance on how to facilitate improvements in process and outcomes.

Qualifications

  • Excellent Functional knowledge (5 years+ experience in category management /procurement roles), depth in category management, processes and tools including previous experience in for LD&T, SG&A within Food & Beverage industry is preferred.
  • Sound sourcing experience for transportation, warehouse and management of purchase transactions with overseas vendors.
  • Strong Project Management and Negotiation Skills.
  • Proven influencing skills to positively impact complex negotiations
  • Excellent analytical and communication skills in English
  • Good knowledge on Contractual term/ risk analysis/ liabilities and indemnities/ SLA's/ and general commercial terms
  • Knowledge of Workplace Health and Safety practices and legislation, as well as the principles of Equal Employment Opportunity, ethical practice and multicultural diversity.
  • Demonstrated ability to provide thorough and reasoned advice to both internal and external stakeholders on all aspects of procurement.
  • Demonstrated understanding of project management and process mapping/improvement techniques.
  • Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Advance problem solving, planning, organizational and decisionmaking skills.
  • Demonstrated experience in stakeholder management, with a focus on facilitating purchasing or project delivery outcomes.
  • Demonstrated experience in identifying and responding to strategic improvement opportunities, in particular in relation to purchasing and procurement activities.
  • Demonstrated experience in building and maintaining effective working relationships with cross functions.
  • Degree qualified
