A - Job Summary


We are seeking a System Engineer/Security Specialist to be responsible for protecting our school's computer systems and networks from cyber threats.

The System Engineer/Security Specialist will be responsible for the installation, monitoring, maintenance, and support of the school's security measures, in addition to providing technical guidance and direction to the IT team.


B - Essential duties and responsibilities

  • Install, configure, and maintain security measures to protect our school's computer systems and networks from cyber threats.
  • Monitor and maintain the school's security systems such as Tenable and Nessus.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to computer systems and networks.
  • Configure and maintain network hardware such as routers, switches, and wireless access points.
  • Manage user accounts and ensure that users have proper access to the systems and networks.
  • Ensure the security of the school's computer systems and networks.
  • Monitor, maintain, and configure virtualized environments using Linux and Windows operating systems.
  • Perform routine maintenance and software upgrades.
  • Create and maintain detailed documentation of the security systems and networks.
  • Respond to user inquiries and requests for technical support.
  • Provide technical guidance and direction to the IT team.

Yêu Cầu Công Việc:


  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • 4+ years of experience working with computer systems and networks.
  • Knowledge of Cybersecurity and a good working knowledge of Tenable.
  • Proficiency with Linux and Windows operating systems.
  • Proficiency in scripting in both Linux and Windows.
  • Experience with Active Directory.
  • Excellent problemsolving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Highly organized and detailoriented.
  • Excellent English communication and customer service skills.
