    Ontario Government Client is actively seeking a QA Specialist. As a QA Specialist, where your expertise in executing manual testing for large business systems will shape the trajectory of critical projects. Your expertise in accessibility testing aligned with AODA (WCAG2.0 AA) and proficiency in leading-edge tools like IBM J-Rules Engine and Jira will be pivotal in ensuring the success of complex business solutions. Join us in driving excellence and innovation in public service technology.

    Note: The candidate is present on-site for three days each week.

    Must:

  • Proven leadership in manual testing for large, critical business systems
  • Test plan development for complex systems
  • Strategies for systems with high annual change rates
  • Accessibility testing aligned with AODA (WCAG2.0 AA)
  • Working knowledge of IBM J-Rules Engine, Jira, Bugzilla, HP/Microfocus Product Suite Public Sector Experience:

    Previous experience in the Public Sector, either as a vendor representative or under contract to a government ministry or agency

  • Criteria:

    QA Skills:
  • Data analysis, cleansing, conversion, and reconciliation for large, complex systems
  • Execution of test cases and scenarios for large, complex systems
  • Coordination and organization skills for QA activities with tight timelines
  • Experience with AODA (WCAG2.0 AA) alignment in accessibility testing
  • Technical Skills:
  • Knowledge of workflow, portfolio management, and rule-driven business solutions
  • Experience with web-based 3-tier software platforms and Oracle database tools
  • Proficiency with testing tools, Jira, Bugzilla, Microfocus Product Suite, and IBM J-Rules Engine
  • Working knowledge of web-based application development
  • Familiarity with accessibility testing tools like WAVES, JAWS, NVDA, Compliance Sheriff
  • General Skills:
  • Effective coordination of multiple teams in various business and technology areas
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, presentation, interpersonal, and negotiation skills
  • Strong analytical problem-solving and decision-making capabilities
