An excellent Group Leader
- Automotive Development job based in Ho Chi Minh has just arisen at one of the world's leading Automotive products companies.
Responsibilities:
- Oversees the development of the automotive products; Passenger Car motor oil (PCMO) and Motorcycle oil (MCO)
- Participates in the development of contracts to ensure required product can be produced as required
- Direct management of the Automotive development team
- Follows the schedules of development, including:
- Management of the priorities in agreement with the product management department and Head of R&D
- Leading development projects with additive suppliers, base oil suppliers, OEMs, partners, external test laboratories
- Studying and approving new raw materials, Reviewing the use of all raw materials
- Ensures the industrialisation of products, as well as the transfer of formulations to the production sites (internal + CMO)
- Adhering to the budgets set for the development and operation of the laboratories
- Elaborating plans for product development in agreement with the Head of R&D
- Organizes and conducts followup meetings with senior management regarding new developments
- Analyzing samples submitted by the Automotive Technical Services (France and Export)
- Analyzing competitor product
- Ensuring sourcing alternatives
- Keeps up to date the indicators of development of automotive products
- Being the lead for CMO activities related to product and formulations:
- Being in charge of the design of feasibility studies and laboratory datasheets with CMOs
- Manages the daytoday activities of the Laboratory team members, providing training, development and guidance as required. Recruit, train, coach and retain team members
- Team work:
- Being the lead for product development with other R&D sites of the group
- Being the lead liaison with quality control department o Participating in productionrelated meetings
- Participating in streamlining operations o Participating in Quality management meetings with relevant management meetings o Participating in automotive technical meetings
- Communicating technical data both internally and externally as required
- HSE and Quality:
- Being the lead in the organization of the laboratories and ensuring their proper operation
- Ensuring and validating new test methods
- Ensuring strict compliance with HSE requirements as well as quality system requirements
Experience requirements:
- 10 years experience in product development of automotive engine technologies Broad experience in lubricants formulations or additive developments
Education requirements:
English fluently
