    Ontario Government Client is actively seeking a Software Developer. As a Software Developer, where is your expertise in data analysis and business intelligence, you'll spearhead the implementation, maintenance, and support of BI solutions across Microsoft and other platforms. Demonstrate your proficiency in Azure Databricks, Delta Lake, Azure Storage, ADF, and more while contributing to cutting-edge data analytics initiatives in a collaborative and innovative environment.

    Note: The candidate is present on-site for three days each week.

    Must Haves:

  • Demonstrated expertise in Azure Databricks, Delta Lake, Azure Storage, ADF, and Azure Analysis Service.
  • Proficient in converting pl/SQL packages into Databricks code with a basic understanding of Oracle Cloud DB.
  • Implement, maintain, and support BI solutions in Microsoft and other BI platforms.
  • Experience with cloud platforms, particularly Azure, and a solid understanding of cloud migration.
  • In-depth familiarity with Microsoft Azure data analytics tools, including Azure Data Factories, Azure Databricks, and Azure Synapse. Criteria:
  • Development Skills
  • Over 10 years of experience in data analysis, developing business intelligence, and reporting in medium to large corporate environments.
  • Expertise in BI functions such as analytics, data modeling, data mining, reporting, report conversion, and data cleansing.
  • Proven track record in Azure Databricks, Delta Lake, Azure Storage, ADF, and Azure Analysis Service.
  • Efficiently complete committed backlog and sprints within agreed-upon timeframes.
  • Curate data from multiple sources for effective presentation in an enterprise environment.
  • Recommend process improvements for data flow and quality to enhance accuracy, usability, and value.
  • Stay informed about technology developments relevant to BI and reporting initiatives.
  • Document "As Built" reports and all data transformations deployed to production.
  • Take ownership of end-to-end development for each dashboard and report.
  • Technology Skills
  • Expertise in Azure and cloud migration.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Azure data analytics tools.
  • Advanced skills in prediction, prescriptive analytics, machine learning algorithms, and fraud detection.
  • Manage PowerBI workspaces, report access, deployment, and develop best practices.
  • Strong knowledge of designing data models, writing complex SQL queries, and Microsoft BI and Azure stack.
